Health & Safety Practices Under the HazCom Standard -
COVID-19 Safe Work Place Planning

This is a 4-hour course covering the OSHA Hazard Communication Standards (HCS) 29 CFR 1910.1200 & 29 CFR 1926.59 and the implications for industries focusing on increased diligence for workplace sanitation in the wake of COVID-19. Training will incorporate instructional materials which include: lecture, class discussions, PowerPoint presentations, learning assessments, videos and exercises to reinforce learning.
Participants with responsibilities for the development and implmentation of the organization's HazCom planning for construction and or general industry companies with less then 250 employees may be eligible to become trainers and receive all curricula content with a commitment of training at least 10 workers using the materials before the grant end date.
All participants will receive the Red Rocks Community College’s HazCom Standard - COVID 19 Safety Work Planning student manual which has been reviiewed by OSHA's Region VIII Office and approved for use in the instruction of the course.
Each session will be live and your full attendance is required to qualify for a Certificate of Completion and/or receive access to the training materials.
Participants must have a computer, microphone, speaker and web camera to participate in the live broadcast.
All participants will be asked to complete either a Tier I Trainer or Tier II Participant form prior to receiving a course completion certificate.

NOTE: Participants approved as Tier I Trainers must attend an online orientation to receive the course materials and review reporting requirements. Orientations are held the first Tuesday of each month, 9:00am-9:30am MT. Approved trainers will receive notices with login information via Constant Contact to the email used to register for the course.
